Summer Vacation...

For the past month we have been going crazy traveling. I feel like we have lived in the trailer and out of suitcases since summer began.

It all started with Memorial
weekend. We headed up with Laraine and Drew to their family cabin in Duchesne. We did nothing but puzzles, watched movies and ate junk for 4 days. It was surprisingly very relaxing considering how bleeping cold it was outside.

Best parts:

•Emmett and Shadow being gay best friends.

•Laraine and I having to drive back to the little store for more Chocolate covered cinnamon bears. Those things are covered in chocolate, then dipped in crack! We cleaned the store out!!

•Putting the kids to bed and watching movies with adults.

•Squishing 4 adults, 2 kids, 2 dogs and all of our crap into the Pilot.

•Trying to eat order Wendy's and eat in the car without spilling anything.

Next we headed to our favorite yearly retreat...LAKE POWELL! We go every year with the Lassig family. I have gone every year with them since I was a junior in high school. We spend the week wakeboarding, jet skiing and getting tanned.

(Quinn wailing on Gavin....he deserved it)

Memorable moments:

•Quinn and I setting up a napping spot in the kitchen of the trailer right in front of the A/C with the iPad propped up so we could watch Tangled.

• I'm the boss at wakeboarding. Just sayin'. (and so is tim)

• I managed not to get sunburned!

• Gavin did not leave the lake! He was diving off rocks. Jumping off the boat and shooting people with water guns.

•Murder mystery....I'm the worst murderer EVER! Tim is the best.

As soon as we came home from Lake Powell we had 2 days to leave get ready to leave for my work camping retreat. Camping (or doing anything with the Roberts) is pristine! They spare no expense to take care of us. They got us a fancy little campsite with private (super clean) bathrooms, a giant pavilion with a real live kitchen, oh, and full freaking hookups! They wined and dined us until we were sick. It was such a great time.

This is why I could never quit my job! I love these people and I love what I do!

Best of the best:

• Learning the pleasure of having full hookups for our trailer...NO NOISY GENERATOR!!

• golfing, cards, and s'mores until we were sick.

• Quinn and Carly are best friends again.

• I was able to braid Quinn's mullet! It's a miracle!!

Now we are officially headed home with Quinn crying about buying a pink swimming pool. I think we all need to rest!

Gavin's 6 year check up

My kids know that every time you have a birthday, you get to go to the doctor and the dentist. Poor saps.

Luckily, Gavin is at the age where he doesn't require any shots. On the way, he kept asking about shots and I tried to reassure him that he did not need any, but he was never quite believed me. I noticed that he started to quietly panic about the shots right before we went into the room. Thank goodness he believed the nurse and he was back to his old self. He was so brave about the whole ordeal that we went to Chickfila to play and get an icecream cone.

Gavin's stats:

Height: 46.5 in. (75%)
Weight: 46 lbs. (50%)

At the dentist both kids did great. Quinn was absolutely terrified (like always), but she listened and didn't freak out. We are once again cavity free healthy. I am so proud!

Gavin's 6th Birthday...

My baby Gavin celebrated his 6th birthday today! Well, I guess it is technically tomorrow, but Tim and I both have to work.

The night before, we hid all of his presents in the kids bathroom then told Gavin not go in there because Quinn peed all over the bathroom. I know, it's gross....but it worked.

He woke up to a door crisscrossed with crepe paper (thanks, pinterest), balloons (Angry Birds), and a wicked awesome bike (so he can stop riding Quinn's).

I also let (made) Gav make his own cake. He watched about 10 YouTube videos on how to successfully create an angry birds cake. I will say, he was pretty successful.

After church, we let Gavin chose where we ate dinner (I will give you one guess where) and joined up with the other birthday boy, Riley, and Wyatt for fun at the park.

Yeah, Gavin is going about 400 mph. He is giving me a heart attack.

Quinny shaking her groove thang. It really has been a nice day.

Soccer 2nd Year

Gavin started his second year of soccer and he ROCKS!! Him and another little boy dominate the entire age group. I am so amazed with how much he has improved over last year.

Today, we had a fun rainy game which meant a very muddy Gavin getting to ride in Tim's very clean car. I'm surprised Tim didn't make him ride home on the roof!

Also, my baby is not a baby anymore. She is an adorable big girl!

Proud Mama

I must say that Gavin is quite the little artist (only when he wants to be)! I am sometimes completely amazed at some of the stuff he draws or brings home from school. Today, he showed me this little beauty:

Cute huh?! I'm in love with this one and it will be a long time addition to our overcrowded refrigerator.

I really shouldn't be so surprised....he is Left Handed after all ;)

House Guests

Tonight my brother and sister came to play while my dad went to a concert. My kids adore Anna and Ian and they go ballistic when they join us. I love being able to spend time with them.

I love this. Everyone sitting around the table doing homework. This is beautiful!

Time for bed. Thank goodness grandma sent us the Extra Large pillow pets ;)

I'm grateful for these little moments.

Emmett

For those who are unaware... We bought a dog. His name is Emmett. We love him. He's adorable. He's tiny.

Best Husband Award...

No, the award isn't going to Brad Pitt, Hugh Hefner or even the daddy on Tangled (who makes me cry EVERY TIME watch that movie). The award is going too...

The Timmy!

Yes, he wins. He does such good deeds for me and his kids that he absolutely deserves to be recognized once in awhile. Let me share with you his latest endeavor:

Whilst I was at the gym tonight he managed to...

Give the squishies a shower...

Give the puppy a bath...

Put all of the laundry that was folded on my kitchen table...

And left me this little diddy of a love note...

Oh, boy, I'm sweet on this man!

Holy cow! You can blog from your phone?!

Now I feel like a total idiot. I've been a evil blog slacker because I am never on my laptop anymore. Well, hallelujah, technology is at it again! I never realized that you could blog via phone! It's amazing! I now can blog when I take a super cute picture of my babies on my cell phone....when I think of something super witty...or when I'm sitting in the dentist office.

You lucky folks should be in awe (or are laughing because you have known you can do this for centuries by now).

I can finally say I am truly happy that 'Yes, there is an Ap for that!'
